1/8 GP On Road All Japan Nationals(Source: TQ Racing) Held in one of the largest and nicest permanent on road circuits in Japan, this year 1/8 All Japan National was attended by only 67 drivers, a significant drop. Only two qualifying rounds were completed as the second day of qualifying rounds was canceled due to Mother Nature. Shimo (again!) took the TQ and together with Tanaka in second place went straight to the Grand Final, while the rest had to battle it out from the lower finals. JMRCA had been known with some of their strange regulations/ decisions. This week was an example as the organization reinforced some kind of 'control tire'. Only tires from certain brands were allowed for certain groups of drivers to be used during this meeting. The rules were somewhat complicated, and was even more confusing as more changes were made during the course of the event. This of course created some problems and disadvantages to some drivers who were used to and had prepared their setup based on some 'non-approved brands'.
